Re-inventing the historic home of the BBC as a work-live-play community on an iconic site
Television Centre, W12
We pride ourselves on taking on large-scale mixed-use projects. We are focused on development because we want to create value
Television Centre is an exciting new neighbourhood comprising prime office, residential and leisure space together with a new Soho House members club and hotel in White City.
The 1.45 million sq ft scheme on the former BBC site is one of our most important and ambitious projects globally and the largest-ever development undertaken in London by a Japanese company.
The masterplan by AHMM is centred on the reinvention of the iconic Grade II listed Television Centre building with its instantly recognisable rotunda and the creation of new outdoor spaces by landscape architects Gillespies.
As part of a greater regeneration project including Westfield shopping centre, Imperial College London, and our development at White City Place, the development aims to bring together a rich mix of communities who come there to work, live and play.
Phase 1
2 Television Centre is a headquarters office building designed by AHMM, and is let to Publicis Group, The White Company, and Soho Works and Soho House club.
The Helios and Crescent residential buildings were also designed by AHMM with interiors by Suzy Hoodless, Haptic, Coffey, Piercy & Co, and AHMM. ITV and BBC are operating the live television studios.
Studios 1 – 3 have been refurbished and operated as live audience recording studios by the BBC and ITV.
