Our origins go back to 1673 when the Mitsui family first opened the Echigo-ya kimono shop in Tokyo. Over the centuries the successful family business grew into a diversified conglomerate and in 1941 the real estate division branched out to become Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd.
Fudosan is Japanese for “real estate” but for us it means much more. With a portfolio of world-class office, retail, residential and mixed-use developments, the Mitsui Fudosan name has become synonymous with quality, sustainability and innovation in property development.
Today, Mitsui Fudosan is one of Japan’s largest listed property companies, operating globally. Leveraging our know-how and management resources, we are building a stable and growing portfolio around the world. From our mixed-use building development business in major cities of Europe and North America to our hotel and residential property business in countries around the world, Mitsui Fudosan has been active on a global scale since 1972. Today, as we continue to enhance our portfolio of superior properties in the U.S. and Europe, we are also moving forward with development projects in the high-growth region of Asia.
Mitsui Fudosan UK is responsible for Mitsui Fudosan Group’s real estate investment and development activities in Europe.
